A strong, yet elegant addition to any room
Nambu cast iron was first made in the middle of the 17th century in Iwate, Northern Japan, the area with rich natural resource material. A master from Kyoto was summoned by the lord to create an iron pot for tea ceremony, and it was the beginning of Nambu cast iron. It became exemplary of Japanese traditional craft, and is still popular today.
A master craftsman of Nambu Tekki; traditional Japanese cast iron, Nobuho Miya creates kitchenware and housewares at his ironware studio, Kamasada.
Kamasada studio is founded in Morioka around Meiji Era - 19thcentury.
